OK, I admit it. I'm a lazy Eve player. I sit in my Raven and missile spam everything in the mission without much thought as to where I should be or what tools I should be using. My setup works perfectly for Agent 3 missions but part of this whole agent 4 preparation has been to understand how I can be most deadly.
I realised exactly how lazy I am when one of my corp mates was muttering about needing spreadsheets while working out the maths behind firing his guns. Since I shall be back in the world of guns at least part time come Saturday when I take my shiny new Assault Frigate out to try to build up some faction with Minmitar before they decide they hate me enough to want to kill me as soon as I enter their space (I have a nagging feeling that this is something everybody should be doing sooner rather than later because of some comments that were said here) and this means going back to agent 1s for a while I think and the minimum requirement for an agent 1 mission is a 25,000,000 frigate. Or not. Yes, I know I'll be far too overpowered as I'll put tech 2 guns on it as well but I'm planning on doing the agent 2s in it too. That should be slightly more interesting.
With Saturday fast approaching I have to choose my next skills to train. The first 4 levels of small railgun specialisation is looking quite promising so that I can really embrace the tech 2 goodness of my new ship. I also only have a few days left on weapon upgrades V which is always a handly one for when you want to squeeze that last bit of gear in. I'm also considering Medium Hybrids V, which will take a few weeks. This would allow me to get medium railgun specialisation and shove some better cruiser guns on my Raven for when the missile changes go in. I put two 250mm prototypes on it last night and they're not too shabby on their own. The extra 5% damage from medium hybrids 5 is always welcome. I just wish there as a third Caldari Battleship that was the Raven level hybrid ship as we only really have the Raven as a missile boat and an electronic warfare ship with the Scorpion. Then again that has an awful lot of mid slots for things like target painters, webifiers and shield hardeners. Maybe that will be a lot more useful post missile changes. It's the last original caldari ship that I need to buy anyway so I think I'll pick that up sometime. Notice the way that I casually mention spending 80million on a ship I probably don't need. That's to wind up my corp mates.
