I think I've decided where the corporation stands with manufacturning now. The real kicker is that any profit from manufacturing tech 1 items seems to be totally swamped by what we can make from running agent 3s, let alone agent 4s. If you add to that the fact that mining is pretty boring too you end up with the unavoidable truth that without Tech 2 gear industry just doesn't pay for us.
The thing is though, that isn't quite true. By not mining we limit our mineral gathering potential to loot from the missions and buying from the market and it looks like we can make do with these numbers and increase the rerurn per base mineral unit of any loot that we retrieve, and that's not even counting selling intact loot on the market for a profit. We're never going to pay out more than agent running this way, but it does make agent running pay more and has the added advantage of not needing mining. I wonder if this is the better way to do it? This way we need no army of miners, which can only be a good thing.
