Damn, I ended up mining.

Last night I, as the only active member of my corporation at the moment due to a loss of internet access brought about by my partner in crime moving house, was running missions and watching the corporation mineral levels slowly rise as I crunched down the loot that I was getting from mission running. I'm in Caldari space, which means that I end up with (when combined with buying from the market) lots of every mineral except Isogen because it just doesn't occur naturally and so has to be imported or crunched from loot. Well, that's what I thought before I had a massive D'oh! moment while in a mission. Caldari space has no Omber but the missions do. Now, it's not the best rock in the world to mine but it contains Isogen and so my Industrial character whipped out a mining barge (I wish I could remember why I bothered getting Mining Barge V in the first place) and set about the rocks with gusto.

My brain started melting after a while from boredom so I did the default background play style for Eve that miners must all have and grabbed something else to do. The upshot from the evening is that i A: have lots of Isogen that I can use to build big stuff again. The best bit is item B:, which is that I managed to discover that I can mine while writing music without getting too distracted. The only problem is that my music ends up in the style of Jon Hallur. It is so lucky that I write Ambient music because if it was heavy rock then that style would suck :)
