In order to enter anything into the password box for Revelations 3.1 and 3.1.1 you can copy arial.ttf from an existing windows machine to the /windows/fonts directory of the bottle in which you installed Eve. You know I was saying that Crossover was great for Eve? Well the Revelations patch yesterday broke it, you now can't put anything into the password box on the login window. Using Crossover Mac I can now run Eve from within Mac OS. How cool is that? I get a cool 17fps in the station, which I don't think is that bad considering what it's doing. There are some problems with it. Portraits don't render for a start, which is a bit annoying, but overall it seems quite stable. I'll have to take it out as part of a corp mining op to see if I can dual box properly with it. If you've got an Intel Mac then take a look, they have a free trial.

This post on the forums certainly sounds like the end is near for the war with ASCN. It's not a huge shock that it's turned out this way, but this post is a nice change in style from the usual forum posts about the war. ASCN, when you do finally fall you will be missed. I hope the alliance stays as an idea and can be rebuilt in the future taking into account the lessons learnt. This does leave one question that I'm sure certain other alliances are asking. Who will be next for BoB?
