How to fix Eve under crossover

In order to enter anything into the password box for Revelations 3.1 and 3.1.1 you can copy arial.ttf from an existing windows machine to the /windows/fonts directory of the bottle in which you installed Eve. You'll probably have a broken machonet directory again, but that too can be copied from a working XP install. I'm happy again now. Technorati Tags: Crossover Mac, Eve Online

Patches break things

You know I was saying that Crossover was great for Eve? Well the Revelations patch yesterday broke it, you now can't put anything into the password box on the login window. This is, as I'm sure you'll understand, something of a fatal flaw. Cross your fingers that the patch today fixes it. Technorati Tags: Crossover Mac, Eve Online

Eve on a Mac

Using Crossover Mac I can now run Eve from within Mac OS. How cool is that? I get a cool 17fps in the station, which I don't think is that bad considering what it's doing. I can't remember the exact date, but I do know that I signed up pretty sharpish when it was clear that it was the way to get into Tech 2 and you know what? Ever since then I got nothing. The RPs mounted up, but the BPOs just never came rolling in. Well that was before last night. I logged on and checked my mail (damn that blinking mail bug) and there was a message from an agent. Not my usual lowlife waster agents who try and foist rubbish on my...

Well, I think BoB won

This post on the forums certainly sounds like the end is near for the war with ASCN. It's not a huge shock that it's turned out this way, but this post is a nice change in style from the usual forum posts about the war. ASCN, when you do finally fall you will be missed. I hope the alliance stays as an idea and can be rebuilt in the future taking into account the lessons learnt. This does leave one question that I'm sure certain other alliances are asking. Who will be next for BoB?
