Exiled Card: Aridia

Next up on the new cards comes an outer region, Aridia. Seems like as basic enough card to me. It only costs 3, can hold 4 locations and gives 2 income. That's pretty nice, but it also gives +1 shield for each location in the region to friendly ships in that region. Get dug in here and you're going to be pretty hard to shift, which should make for some nice stable cash generation. Oh, I'm sorry. I just can't get excited by an outer region, although I'm sure I'll end up using it. 

Exiled Card: Guristas Despoiler

I missed a week in the card updates, and they then missed it from the archive so here we go with another new card from Exiled: Guristas Despoiler.   Being Guristas it's restricted to Caldari only and it's pretty ordinary stat wise except for the two new abilities that it brings. The first is it has a bounty! If you blow it up you get some free cash, which is always nice and has certain implications for if you field the ship or not. A new Exiled card: Emergency Shield Generator

There's a new card preview this week, and it's one that's been submitted by a player.   So let me see, for 6 ISK you get a starbase structure that can be played by anybody. gives +1 ISK and +4 shields. What's more it can't be the target of news cards so is pretty hard to destroy or prevent. The downside is that it can only be played on an upgraded starbase. Another preview is up for the Eve CCG and this time it's a new ship called a Serpentis Protector. Costs 5, Assembly 1, Attack 3, Shields 5. Mining 1, can be played only by Gallente and can activate it's commands at the end of every turn if it's in a friendly region. A bit expensive I hear you say, well there are also two new abilities alongside that mining: Tanking 2 and Sniping 2. All of the abilities are mutually exclusive so it's just one at a time folks. Tanking and Sniping are different sides of the same coin...

Eve is 4, and so am I

So Eve turned 4 this weekend, and this week my main character also turns 4. Yeah, I know I should have loads more of skillpoints, but I've quit a few times along the years and so I don't. Yes, of course I wish I hadn't now. I think it's time to take stock with the game and decide if I like where I am. I've had some great times over the years, from the time I used to rat out in 0.0 out the top of Lonetrek (but that was when M0o were more dangerous than 0.0, which was generally totally safe)...

My skills are a mess

I realised something this week: My skills are a complete mess. I have partially trained long skills all over the shop, I never bothered getting warhead upgrades IV even though it's only a few days training and generally I seem to be lacking any cohesion in my planning. This is, of course, that I have no planning and tend to train skills on a whim so I've decided to try to be a bit more disciplined with my training. Another Exiled update

A new update has been posted for Exiled, and this time it's a card preview. It's a news card called The Speaker of Truths that has a duration of 1 and gives all defenders +1 attack. I already like this card, but it has something special as well. They're adding a feature called Racial Affinity, which means that there are also abilities that only apply if the specified races are present. In this case the card also has a racial affinity effect that gives Amarr ships +2 to their shields. This makes it a card that I suspect I'll use...
