Arthur C Clark has died.
Not a lot I can say really, his influence has been too great to ever truly understand fully (although the coming up with satellites thing was rather useful in the long term). No, he didn't just influence Eve, he influenced all of Sci-Fi as a genre in a massive way. Few people get to have that sort of effect.
