Battlestar Galactica Part 2

OK, Still no real content but I'll comment in this weeks Battlestar Galactica instead: The ending will drive at least one of my friends mad, and this is a good thing. This show really isn't trying to be a normal TV show. If they don't decide to make season 2 I'll be dissapointed. In other news I got 7 synchronised  video channels working today. I could have got more but I only had 2 monitors on a bottom of the range Dell PC and I ran out of space to make it a fair test with all the windows fully visable....

Battlestar Galactica

I've still got nothing to say computer wise at the moment so I'll chime in with a brief review of the first episode of the first season of the new Battlestar Galactica. It's still dark and continues with the atmosphere of the mini series. Which means you'll either love it or hate it. If you have good taste then you'll love it :)

BITs in action

Online games have a need to update the client files quite often so that bugs can be fixed and new features added. Usually this is done by having a launcher application that logs in and downloads any new files before you can begin playing. Star Wars galaxies have gone a step further this week and they are now the first game that I know about that uses the Windows BITS system to download application updates quietly in the background. I've always wondered why people don't use it more for application updates, and it's nice to see a game using it.

I'm getting dangerously close to being motivated again

Well I had a few weeks off work and there was a monent when I was walking through the woods when I realised that I had found my motivation for coding again. I had lost it recently due to a mix of work and the current far future gazing that lots of the blogshere has been concentrating on for the last year or so. I'd like to see more people concentrate on the now, and not on what's coming from the latest beta programmes and so I decided to try and keep the information moving for what we have now.
