I'm a little obsessed with Crackdown at the moment, which means I'm not getting a lot of useful things done. I'm getting to the point where the achievements are going to be harder to get now so hopefully that'll die down and I get on with something useful.
So what do I class as useful? Playing with XNA of course! I've pottered around for a while now not produced anything noteworthy so I need a project to play with. Lucky for me I have a massive number of notes on various ideas so I'm going to do something I never even considered back then: I'm going to make it all run on a console. The fact that I can now do that really amazes me still.
Now, I can't guarantee that what I'm making will be fun, but it will let my try some things out. I'm probably not going to actually make what you would call a game, but instead I'm going to fiddle with some ideas I have for procedurally generating content and the like. If any of it pans out I will of course blog about it. If it all goes horribly wrong I'll blog about it as well of course :)
I knew I paid that cash to Siggraph each year for a reason. Now if only I understood what a lot of the papers actually meant.
