Outstanding! This is why I don't need to follow soap operas on TV:

MMORPG.com Gets Tough

This is fun, not for the specifics of the sites in question; one an Everquest Clone of dubious appeal in a glut of similar other Coming Soon titles, and the other a slightly ad-spam ridden quasi-MMORPG-news-site with a very lucky URL, but for the details of the drama involved. This has it all! Vitriol, flaming, trolls, laughable threats of legal action, accusations of censorship, demands for 'our rights', false identities, anomnity and all the other Good Stuff that makes humans uniquely Evil, and Stupid. "Stuvil", if you will. And over such a petty thing!

Personally, I browse MMORPG.com's headlines, but certainly don't use it as my only source of online gaming news...to trust one news source exclusively would be a foolish thing, for fools! As for Mourning, the only other place I'd ever seen it mentioned was here:

Leonard "J" Crabs for teh win!

A quick read of that is enough to show what kind of people we're dealing with here. Certainly MMORPG.com are probably guilty of something here too - taking money for banner-ads probably. But clearly, LHE hardly come across as a professional game development company - regardless of what a news/fansite says about you, you should never stoop to that level.

People are bad, and/or broken, and are going to heckle you whatever you do...be glad they care at all...
