Why hello there! Long time no see and all that. It’s been a difficult month or two for me, back in the Real World, the details of which have no place on a barely updated blog about online gaming. However, I would just like to say, Tom Cruise, if you’re reading, die in a fire, kthx.

But problems or no, I’ve still managed to find the time to continue to be obsessed about MMO gaming; what can I say? I’m weak, psychologically dependent, and in some ways, having somewhere as pointless as a good online game to dive into and get away from everything in, can be immensely therapeutic. Time out, where I can totally forget about real things and relax. Of course what usually happens is that I just get wound up about imaginary and really stoopid things instead, but I feel that’s probably some sort of healthier alternative. Or something.

So where were we? Well, Operation Cheapseats crashed out with the rather unspectacular whimper that was Project Entropia. No review – I didn’t manage to play it long enough to provide a justifiable amount of material to pick over. My hard disk died mid-trial, and PE was quite far down on the list of 'Things I Should Bother Reinstalling'. I tell you what, why don’t we both call ‘Benefit of the Doubt’ on it, and pretend that bizarre fusion of slot-machine and half-arsed Anarchy Online knock-off never happened. It’s free to download and do badly at, but then so is Anarchy Online, the difference being Anarchy Online gives you a starting weapon. Go figure...you chaps are on your own with that one; not my problem anymore!

What else?

I spent a fair few weeks in a proper Planetside Outfit, with Teamspeak and everything, so there ought to be a few anecdotes there. I then burned out Planetside again, despite new medals. I also hung EVE Online up for a bit. It’s all change on the sidebar!

I actually reinstalled and played Star Wars: Galaxies, post-combat upgrade, and as you can imagine, I have Opinions on that to rant…er…explain at you all.

I folded like a cheap suit and ended up buying World of Warcraft, despite it being Popular. Well, everyone else can’t ALL be right, surely? Expect much WoW related ranting here soon. (Hey! www.justanotherworldofwarcraftblog.com is still available! Bonus!) Still no Guild Wars.

In other words, it’s the usual subtle blend of bitter twisted vitriol, and gaming trends that everyone else found six months ago. Normal service is resumed, huzzah!
