Hmm - a variant on the 'Hey, come back! It doesn't suck anymore!' promotion we've all seen cluttering up our inboxes from time to time. The feature-list is a bit underwhelming though, and the thing seems to largely stand on the New-PC Lottery and strangely enough, the promise of a free, and only tangentially related offline arcade game.
I'm sure the new weapon models and redesigned trees are all very nice and everything (see their website for pics), but I'm somewhat dubious if those are the most impressive new things they want to show me since I was last there. A more numerous and friendlier player population would be the winner for me, or failing that, any kind of policed community code of conduct at all. New dungeons, quest and creatures? Now that sounds interesting...why not talk about that a bit instead?
Anyway, I've no right to heckle, since I've not been there in over six months, and on the face of it, the offer is actually very good value for money; it's free, requires no actual account reactivation, and to be honest, ten days will be more than enough to reminisce, renew your accquaintence with a genuinely interesting world, and leave again, contented until the next similar offer. I'd quite go for it myself if I wasn't currently so lost in World of Handicraft...
