Shawn can more usually be found doing all sorts of newsroom shouting at Massively.com, and by extension hosting Massively Speaking, as well as surviving the apocalypse on Through the Aftermath, and even has a blog here!
It's nearly time for the great Van Hemlock Summer Roadshow 2009! Mostly because the Producer's studio is now so full of junk that its getting difficult to even enter the room, we'll be out and about doing on location podcasts for the next month or so, braving direct sunlight and interminable car journeys around the south of England!
Heres the first two events we're going to:
1st August 2009: Swanage Carnival & Regatta; the last day of a week of coastal fun and games which has nothing whatsoever to do with MMO gaming in the slightest! Mostly, I just wanted to do a show from a beach. Swanage is in Dorset, on the Isle of Purbeck, not far from Bournemouth by bus. Seafront promenading, afternoon drinking and general indolence will be the order of the day, and they even have fireworks in the evening!
8th August 2009: West Dean Chilli Fiesta; an open day in the grounds of a great English Stately Home which scores very highly on the 'any item you can conceive of, but with chilli in it' stakes, but very poorly on the MMORPG stakes, with myself being the most computery gamey thing there, I shouldn't wonder. Fascinating stalls and extreme culinary discomfort ahoy, West Dean is not far from Chichester, West Sussex via bus. We did a show from there last year, and it rained constantly!
